2077176 - Manage Templates - Default Dates Using a Fixed or Relative Date - Performance Management

Symptom

  • Can I use offset dates for default dates?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

Resolution

  • Form Templates: You now have the option to specify relative dates as well as fixed dates for Start, End, and Due dates to make it easier to set up the form template once, and be able to launch it multiple times over the year without having to edit the template again.
  • To use this option, follow these steps:
  1. go to Admin Center
  2. select Performance Management
  3. choose Form Template Settings
  4. select the template you want to use
  5. in the Default Dates for Form Creation section, select whether you want to use a fixed or relative date.
    • Fixed dates are specific calendar dates.
    • Relative dates have their timing based on another specified date. (PMT-3693)
  6. Relative to: option can be relative to the form's creation date, default due date, default start date or default end date. Be sure your logic for relative dates is valid.

Default Dates for Form Creation
- Due Date

Specifies the timeframe in which this form is due.

When you create a new form, the timeframe you specified in this field is translated into a date in relation to the creation date, and that date is automatically populated on the new form. For example, if you specified that the form is due 30 days after it's created, then when you create a form on 9/2/04, the default due date will be 10/2/04. Users can override this date with one of their own.

Enter a number in this field. For example, enter 30 if you want the form to be due 30 days after it's created.

Note: If you don't want to use the form's creation date as the basis for the default date, you can specify a default due date of your choice.

Specify Start/End/Due

Dates(please enter all 3 dates): MM/DD/YYYY

Default Start Date:

In the Start Date field, select Creation Date, Default Due Date, Default End Date and also set Days after(+) or before(-). If you don't enter a date, the default start date of the form is automatically applied.

Default End Date:

In the End Date field, select Creation Date, Default Due Date, Default Start Date and also set Days after(+) or before(-). If you don't enter a date, the default end date of the form is automatically applied.

Default Due Date:

In the Due Date field, select Creation Date, Default Start Date, Default End Date and also set Days after(+) or before(-). If you don't enter a date, the default due date of the form is automatically applied.

Change timing

Going forward for newly created forms only. BUT YOU CAN change live form dates using admin tools > Change Document Date
