- Users not receiving a random password when they login to the system for the first time.
- SuccessFactors Learning
- Learning Management System
Reproducing the Issue
External Users who would login directly to Learning are created in the system manually or via the User Connector or via the Import Data Tool.
After creation, they do not receive the random password for their login as per the PasswordNotification template
When created manually, the Native Deeplink option would have not been checked
When created via the Connector , the NATIVE_DEEPLINK_USER field would have not been entered in the feed file or the expected value for the field would not have been passed.
When created via the Import tool, an appropriate value for the Native Deeplink User field would not have been set in the import file template
Go to system admin >> configuration >> LMS_ADMIN and mark the below mentioned property as true
# false: will use default password functionality.
Mark the “Native Deeplink User as tick
- For manual creation:
Go to user > Add new and tick Native Deeplink User:
- For connector creation:
Mark the field in connector workbook
The allowed values for the creation of this kind of users through Connectors are Y or N
- For import tool creation:
In the import template there is a field for native link to user .The valid values are (YES,NO,TRUE,FALSE,Y,N)
The data type is Boolean.
Maximum characters allowed: 1
*The notification template that is triggered when the "enableRandomPasswordGenerationForNewUsers" is true is the "PasswordNotification" template.
