2074322 - Changing the default Date Format in Learning Administration

• The ability to change the default date/time format within Learning Administration to reflect a preference other than Day/Month/Year or HH:mm - 24h format is required.
• This KB article explains how the date and time format can be changed, relevant to an organization's needs.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

The example below assumes that a company wants a date/time format relevant to Germany-based employees.

Any new date/time format may be added to the system by:

1. Going to References >
2. Calendars and Time >
3. Date Format Patterns >
4. Add a new date format, such as MM.DD.YYYY >
5. Choose the Pattern Type as "Date" >
6. Click Add to save your changes >
7. Go to References >
8. Geography >
9. Locales >
10. Open the German Locale (or any other Locale that should have this date pattern as an option) >
11. Click the Date Patterns tab >
12. Search for and add your new date pattern to the list >
13. If you want it to be the default pattern for any user who is using the German locale, select the "Default" radio button.

In addition, to change the time format:

1. Go to References >
2. Calendars and Time >
3. Date Format Patterns >
4. Add a new time format, such as HH:mm >
5. Choose the Pattern Type as "Time" >
6. Click Add to save your changes >
7. Go to References >
8. Geography >
9. Locales >
10. Open the German Locale (or any other Locale that should have this date pattern as an option) >
11. Click the Time Patterns tab >
12. Search for and add your new date pattern to the list >
13. If you want it to be the default pattern for any user who is using the German locale, select the "Default" radio button.

When done, go to user preferences, choose the new date and/or time pattern to try it out.

Note: Ensure Capital 'MM' are used for Months. Lower 'mm' is only used for minutes.
