2072629 - Reports - Goal Plan Audit History via ad hoc reporting - Goal Management

Symptom

  • With Release 1305 (May 2013), audit history on Goal Plans can now be retrieved for ad hoc reporting with more detailed information. The feature is universal.
  • In the goal plan, the new reportable values are now easier to view and interpret.

Environment

Goal Management

Resolution

Go to Ad Hoc Reports > Create a new report > Select Goal/Objective Management as your type of report.

Then set the parameters of your report.

In your report definitions under Data Set select the templates you want to audit > then in the columns tab select Audit  and add all the audit fields to report on. Add any other fields you will want to include in your Audit report, and save this report

  1. Scenario: A manager with “New Group Goal Creation” permission creates a new group goal for his/her direct reports.

Action: Under the Goals (Objectives) Tab, the manager selects the Goal Plan (in the upper right window) and clicks the “Create a New Goal” button. A new group goal is added and defined via entries in the pop-up window. The manager then assigns this goal to his/her direct reports via the “Assign Selected” button by checking the checkbox next to the name.

System behaviour: The newly created group goal is displayed in the direct report’s goal plan.

  1. Scenario: A manager with “New Group Goal Creation” permission modifies the “master” group goal directly in his/her own goal plan after it has been assigned to his/her direct reports.

Action: The “master” group goal is modified in the manager’s goal plan via manual entry.

System behaviour (1): The change in the group goal is displayed in the direct report’s goal plan as “Cascaded” and highlighted in yellow .

Action:  A field ( e.g. the weight %) on the group goal, is modified in the manager’s goal plan via manual entry.
System behaviour: The change in the group goal is displayed in the manager’s goal plan as “Modified” and highlighted in yellow .
