You get error message while selecting the registered product Reference Product ABC:Serial number profile is io serial number assigned.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Service Entitlements work center.
- Select Registered Products view.
- Select the registered product ID XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the registered product).
You get a warning message Reference Product ABC: Serial Number Profile is No Serial Number Assignment (ABC represents the ID of the Item).
The reason why the system is throwing this message is because in the Product Master Data for this product you have maintained Serial Number Profile as No Serial Number Assignment.
- Go to the Service and Product Portfolio work center.
- Go to the Products view.
- Select the product ABC and choode the Edit button.
- Select the View All button and go to the General tab.
- For the field Serial Number Profile you have selected No Serial Number Assignment.
- Change the Serial Number Profile to any other required value and Save the changes.
