1922508 - How To Setup iPad Offline Mode

Symptom

How to setup and synchronize the iPad in offline mode.

Reproducing the Issue

You are not able to access or view content in the iPad offline mode.

 

 

Cause

The iPad offline mode is not activated and synchronized.

Resolution

To enable and maintain the iPad offline data you can use the following steps:

Before you can access the iPad offline mode you need to assign the iPad Offline work center to the respective users:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Go to the Business Users view.
  3. Select All Business Users.
  4. Enter ABC (ABC represents the name of the business user).
  5. Click on ABC to open the business user account details.
  6. Open the Work Center and View Assignment tab.
  7. Enable the iPad Offline work center.
  8. Click Save.

To enable and maintain the iPad offline mode execute the following steps on your iPad:

  1. Tap on the iPad Offline work center icon.
  2. Tap on the Offline Setup option.
  3. Tap on the Done option.
  4. Enter DEF (DEF represents your new offline password) and tap OK.
  5. Enter DEF to confirm your password and tap OK
  6. The system will perform an initial synchronization of your data.

To access your data offline perform the following steps:

  1. Tap on the iPad Offline work center icon.
  2. Tap on the Switch to Offline icon.
  3. Enter DEF and tap OK to access your offline data.

To maintain your iPad offline data perform the following steps:

  1. Tap on the iPad Offline work center icon.
  2. Tap on the Offline Setup icon.
  3. Select or de-select the data you want to synchronize.
  4. Tap on the Sync Now option.
  5. Tap on the Done option.
