1884963 - Value help result is restricted to 200 records in reports and dashboards

You are using a report (or a dashboard filter in C4C) and you want to fetch all existent records using the Value Selection for a particular characteristic, however the selection restricts the number of result displayed in that screen and shows the information message: Value help is restricted to 200 records.

Use Case: You want to see all existent records available from the value selection for a specific object which has more than 200 records.

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center and choose the Design Report view.
2. Open your report.
3. In the selection, click on the value help of the required field and choose the Basic Select tab.
4. The list will provide a maximum of 200 records and the following information message: Value help is restricted to 200 records.

Note: You will be able to reproduce such behavior if the object you are selecting has more than 200 records in reports and dashboards. In Dashboards the filter behaves like the selection in the report. The message will not be shown there yet but delivered in a future release.

The system behavior is as designed.

The value selection result is restricted to 200 records however you can show/find any additional records, out of this range, using the advanced search options or other search criteria, such as asterisk (*) to search for objects. For example *XYZ*, *XYZ etc.
