1822749 - You are not Able to Generate the Proforma Invoice From a Sales Quotes

You are not able to generate the Proforma Invoice from a Sales Quotes. The following Error occurs: Generating pro forma invoice for document failed; Party with role Employee Responsible missing.

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Go to the Sales Quotes view.
3. Show All Quotes and Find XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the sales quote).
4. Select the sales quote XYZ and choose Create Pro Forma Invoice button.
5. The following Error is triggered: Generating pro forma invoice for document failed; Party with role Employee Responsible missing.

For the generation of Proforma Invoice it is required to have the automatic determination of the Employee Responsible party in the sales quote document. Currently you do not have any rule maintained for the determination of Employee Responsible and you are adding this manually in the sales quotes.

Follow the below steps for defining the rule for determination of Employee Responsible:

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Go to the Work Distribution view -> Select the Employee Work Distribution.
3. In the next screen under Business Area: Sales and Marketing (6) -> Select Employee Responsible for Sales.
4. Edit Employee Responsible for Sales -> In the next screen you can see that no rule is maintained for Employee Work Distribution.
5. Select Add Row button to add a rule according to your requirement.
6. Save your changes.

Alternative Steps for maintaining rule for determination of employee responsible:

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to the Task Distribution view -> Select the Employee Work Distribution.
3. In the next screen under Business Area: Sales and Marketing (6) -> Select Employee Responsible for Sales.
4. Edit Employee Responsible for Sales -> In the next screen you can see that no rule is maintained for Employee Work Distribution.
5. Select Add Row button to add a rule according to your requirement.
6. Save your changes.
