Symptom

How to add the functionally of calculating the Partial Sum of Total Amount in the Sales Order or Customer Invoice.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Orders view.
  3. Show All Orders and Find XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the sales order).
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Click the View All button.
  6. Go to the Items tab.
  7. No possibility to calculate the Partial Sum of the Total Amount.

Cause

SAP Business ByDesign does not have any standard functionality to calculate the Partial Sum of the Total Amount of a Sales Order or a Customer Invoice.

Resolution

You can implement this functionality by adding extension fields or via customized enhancement by the SAP service center (servicecenter@sap.com).

Example for the key user adapted extension field:

  1. Go to the Sales orders work center.
  2. Select the New Sales Order from Common Tasks.
  3. Select the View All button.
  4. Go to the Adaptation Mode.
  5. Select the View All button and go to the Items tab.
  6. Select the Edit Screen option.
  7. Select the Items section.
  8. Select the Extension Field.
  9. Add a field of type Calculation and select the calculation rule as per your requirement.
