You have maintained Business Address and Personal Address for a Contact. When, you assign that Contact to an Account, system picks the Business Address instead of Personal Address.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Account Management work center.
- Select Accounts view.
- Highlight an Account.
- Select Edit button and choose Contacts option.
- Under Relationships and Responsibilities, select Add Row button.
- Choose Relationship Type as Has Ship-To Party and select a Business Partner.
- You can see here that the system pulled the Business Address instead the Main Personal Address
Note: It is not possible to change this address.
For business partner address determination of contacts, the address determined will always be workplace address and if not found then employee workplace.
Personal address will not be available for user selection.
The Personal address is not available for selection because, showing the personal address is violation. And also, personal address is not display in Business Partner Data, Accounts and so on.
The system works as designed.
