1763016 - Crystal Reports date prompts do not work when running from a XenApp server.

Symptom

When running Crystal Reports through Citrix XenApp server Date Prompts display blank prompt screens.

Environment

  • Citrix XenApp 6.5
  • Windows 2008 R2
  • Crystal Reports 2008

Cause

The default settings for Internet Explorer will block ActiveX controls.

Resolution

Resolution that is reported by customer:

  1. On the server run the Group Policy Object Editor (from the command line type gpedit.msc)
  2. Expand User Configuration ->  Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer Maintenance -> Security
    Open Security Zones and Content Ratings
  3. Select Import the Current Security Zones and privacy settings option, and make sure the settings allow for Active X controls.
