1756809 - When you Open a Report a Parameter Error Message appears and you Cannot Run it

Symptom

You are trying to execute a report, however once you click on it and open it , you face a Parameter error message:

Parameter ABC does not exist

Reproducing the Issue

In order to reproduce this issue, you just have to open the report, for example: Project Costs and Revenues - Details.

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to the Design and Assign Reports View.
  3. Search for Project Costs and Revenues - Details and Click on it.

You will see an error message like this, for example: 

Parameter PARA_ACCYRPER (MKFC FINCACU04_ROB_01) does not exist

Cause

The report is inconsistent as a parameter no longer exists in the data source where the report is based or the parameter has been removed from the report.

Resolution

In order to solve this error problem, the report needs to be recompiled again which will remove the inconsistency.

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
  2. Go to the Design and Assign Reports View.
  3. Select your report.
  4. Click on Edit With -> Report Wizard button, this will open a new screen.
  5. You will see a message in the bottom of the screen saying that the Parameter has been removed.
  6. Click on Finish button.
