Symptom

How to get value whether or not 'Include this value' option is checked when entering range parameter values

Environment

  • Crystal Reports 2008

Resolution

  1. Create a new Parameter Field.
  2. Enter Name (e.g. My Parameter) and select "Date" as Type and "Static" as List of Values.
  3. Select "True" in the Allow range values as value Options.
  4. Create a new Formula Field as below.

e.g.

WhileReadingRecords;

If IncludesLowerBound({?My Parameter}) Then

{Orders.Ship Date} => Minimum({?My Parameter})

Else

{Orders.Ship Date} > Minimum({?My Parameter})

  1. Click Report > Selection Formulas > Record.
  2. Insert above formula (e.g. @test) field in the Formula Workshop - Record Selection Formula Editor.
  3. Click Save and close.
  4. Click Refresh.
  5. Select Prompt for new parameter values and click OK.
  6. Enter lower value and check or uncheck Include this value and click OK.
  7. Upper value has same way to do with IncludeUpperBound function.
