When you create a new financial reporting structure, if the structure type is "0IA2 -IFRS I/S by Function of Expense" or "Income Statement by Function of Expense", regardless what you fill into "Chart of Accounts" (CoA) field, it becomes empty after saving.
Reproducing the Issue
- Goto 'Business Configuration' work center
- Select view 'Activity List'
- Select 'Fine Tuning'
- Select 'Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination'
- Click 'Edit Financial Reporting Structure'
When click on 'Copy From Template', do the following selection:
Template for financial reporting structure -- 0IA2 -IFRS I/S by Function of Expense
New Chart of Account -- select one
Structure Key -- give a new name
Structure Description -- give a new description
After saving, the column "Chart of Accounts" becomes empty.
When you use structure type "Income Statement by Function of Expense", account assignment is not allowed. Hence the Chart of Account (CoA) is not filled.
Although the CoA field is filled during the reporting structure creation process, especially when you create multiple structures; after you save, close, and come back, the CoA column becomes empty. This is intentional as explained above.
