Using the JRC to generate command based reports with parameters.
Reports render correctly using the Oracle JDBC driver classes12.jar (for JDK's 1.2 and 1.3).
Reports generate "processHttpRequest fails with null pointer exception" error when using Oracle JDBC driver ojdbc14.jar (for JDK's 1.4 and 1.5).
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a report that is based on an SQL command, not on tables
- The report should include at least one paramter
- Render the report using the Oracle ojdbc14.jar driver
- The report will fail with the null pointer exception error
The error is seen in JRC Patch 5 and earlier.
The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00999833.
The issue has been resolved in JRC Patch 6.
