1219765 - Viewer blacked out when RDC XI application attempts to display report

Symptom

A Visual Basic application uses the Report Designer Component (RDC) XI as the reporting development tool. When the application attempts to display a report on a computer that is set to display 256 colors, the viewer is blacked out.

Cause

This known issue has been assigned ID ADAPT00537636.

Resolution

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), the issue is resolved. The ActiveX viewer now supports the viewing of reports on 256-color mode systems.

Unless indicated otherwise, Critical Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
