After installing any Crystal product, version 9 and earlier, when you enter an evaluation keycode, the following error message appears:
"ERROR: Invalid Keycode".
Evaluation keycodes for all Crystal products, version 9 and earlier, stopped working on June 1, 2005.
The issue occurs because the keycode.dll file that shipped with those products cannot interpret expiry dates past June 1, 2005.
This issue is with evaluation keycodes only, not production keycodes.
Hot fixes are available to solve this issue. Open the corresponding file below and follow the directions in the readme.txt file.
For Crystal Reports and Report Application Server, use the License Manager application to change the invalid keycode to the new keycode.
The License Manager can be found at:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\bin\LicenseManager.exe.
Run the LicenseManage.exe file, delete the invalid keycode and add the new keycode.
