1219368 - Error: "Failed to open a rowset"" after migrating to Crystal Reports 10 from 8.5

Symptom

  • A Crystal report is migrated from Crystal Reports 8.5 to Crystal Reports 10.
  • The report uses the Data Direct Oracle ODBC driver.
  • When refreshing the report in Crystal Reports 10, the following error message appears:

"Failed to open a rowset. Details: 42000:[DATADIRECT][ODBC Oracle 8 driver]Invalid timestamp escape. Correct syntax is {ts 'yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.fffff'}"

Resolution

Download and install Crystal Reports 10 Service Pack 1. The service pack can be downloaded from our web site.
