1218727 - CR 9 reports off Fox Pro and SQL Server have different data in CR XI

Symptom

A report is created in Crystal Reports 9 (CR 9) based on a Microsoft Visual Fox Pro table and a Microsoft SQL Server table. When this report is opened in Crystal Reports XI (CR XI), the data is different.

Cause

The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00435607.

Resolution

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), this issue is resolved. A new feature for external joins was added since the version 9 release of Crystal Reports. In this particular case the external joins do not function properly. A registry key has been added to control this functionality.

Registry Entry Information

-------------------------------

Subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\Database\Querybuilder\Joinbuilder\CannotSupportExternalJoins

Type: STRING

Recognized Values: 1;0

Default Value: 0

Creation Method: Hot Fix Installation

Known limitations: By default the regkey will be set to exhibit current behavior. To disable the use of external joins the key will need to be modified and set to a value of 1.

Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
