1204189 - Text is not wrapped when exporting to Excel Data Only and field is set to "Can Grow" in Crystal Reports

• 'Wrap text' option is not automatically checked in Excel

• Crystal Reports (CR)
• Microsoft Excel

• In CR, set 'Can Grow' option on a database field or on a formula field
• From File menu, select 'Export' and 'Report Export Options'
• Select 'Microsoft Excel (97-2003) Data-only' format and click 'OK'
• Check the options 'Export object formatting' and 'Maintain relative object position' 

• 'Wrap text' option cannot be used with 'Maintain relative object position' option
• 'Wrap text' may modify the object position which conflicts with the requirement of 'Maintain relative object position' option

• Locate the registry 'Excel' at the below paths based on the CR version:

For CR XI Release 1: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\Export\Excel

For CR XI Release 2: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Export\Excel

For CR 2008: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12\Crystal Reports\Export\Excel

• Create a new DWORD value key ‘WrapTextInDataOnly’
• Set it is value to 1
• Restart CR
