1198654 - Report custom functions do not get updated automatically after they have been changed from the Repository Custom Functions

Symptom

A custom function is saved to repository and is used in report as a Report Custom Function. When the Repository Custom Function is modified, the change should appear in all the reports which contain that Custom Function. However, the change does not appear in the reports.

Cause

While designing the reports, the Update Connected Repository Objects on Open check box in Report > Options > Reporting tab was clear.

Resolution

If Update Connected Repository Objects on Open was not selected (clear) while the report was designed, each report will have to be manually updated by right-clicking the Repository Custom Function and clicking Add to report. Click Yes in the dialog box that confirms if the Report Custom needs to be updated. Save the report to appropriate location.

Also, for future reports, do select Update Connected Repository Objects on Open check box. This will also be useful if you have any images on the report coming from the Repository. However, the old reports will need to be manually updated.
