3190485 - Appointment - Division Does Not Get Set When You Don't Use An Account

Symptom

The automatic sales data determination does not happen as expected when you create, for example an appointment, without account. The same is true for other BOs.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. With a business user who has a sales data set maintained and checked as main, login to C4C.
  2. Go to the Activities work centre.
  3. Go to the Appointments view.
  4. Create a new appointment.
  5. Do NOT enter any account.
  6. Save and open

Result: the Sales data does not get copied over from the user's sales data and division is not set.

Cause

The scenario to determine sales data from the employee master without having an account is not supported.

You always have to enter an account. Then it will work.

To change the current system behaviour would be a new development request.

Resolution

Please post this new request on our influence page:  https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/1868

Please note that it is not possible for our Support Team to provide you additional information regarding the availability of this feature in a future release.

As short term workaround for when an appointment without account shall be created:
Create a dummy account in your master data without any sales data, etc.. This could be entered by users just to trigger the sales org determination from the logon employee.
