3056410 - SSCUI 101016 deactivation of tax lines and delete last rate change

With release CE2105 two new functionality "Deactivate line" and "Delete Last Rate Change" was delivered in SSCUI 101016 "Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases" for TDT enabled and activated country/regions.

During deactivation of tax code error message "Deactivation only possible for tax codes with one condition and period" occurs.

During deletion error message "Undo is not possible with only one period" occurs.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Enter App Manage Your Solution.
2. Select Configure Your Solution.
3. Enter SSCUI /Activity 101016 "Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases" in the search function (or follow the path: Finance > Statutory Reporting > Tax).
4. Enter the country/region key and tax code.

In this example there are 2 conditions of tax code E1:

• Acquisition Output Tax MWS  -19%
• Acquisition  Input  Tax  VST    19%

When trying to change the default setting (i.e. add Input Tax VST with 0%) and deactivate the lines, error returns: "Deactivation only possible for tax codes with one condition and period".

Deactivation line function is not working for:

• SAP pre-delivered tax codes and
• Tax codes with two or more conditions like MWS/VST or ESA/ESE.

Deactivation works for:

• Custom tax codes (Z*) and
• Tax codes with only one condition like VST or MWS

If you need to undo changes made for a tax code with multiple conditions or multiple validity periods, use Delete Last Rate Change. This option reverts the tax rates for this tax code to the previous saved settings.
