3033592 - Bank Account already exists message no. FCLM_BAM_MAINT021 in the App Manage Bank Accounts

• Modify the Bank account holder information in the App Manage Bank Accounts by closing and reopening the bank account with an updated account holder name.

• Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM).
• SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

1. Go to App Manage Bank Accounts.
2. Close the existing bank account with old account holder name.
3. Reopen the bank account. 

The logical key of the bank account comprises of the following parameters:

• Technical bank account: company code + house bank + house bank account id.
• Bank account with country/region Japan: bank control key + bank account number + bank country + bank key + currency
• Other bank accounts: bank account number + bank country + bank key + currency.

If the bank account with the above mention logical key is in active status in the Bank Account Master Data and we try to copy the bank account to reopen the same bank account, the mentioned error message is received.

This is because the bank account that we are trying to close and reopen is not completely closed.

1.  In the App Manage Bank Account a completely closed bank account is in Account Status: Closed.
