With SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2202, this business role template is the fully-functional successor to the business role template Project Manager – Commercial Services (SAP_BR_PROJ_MANAE_COMM). The business catalogs in this business role template are based on a new restriction type (Project), which offers greater flexibility in authorizations regarding access to customer or internal projects respectively.

To avoid authorization overrides, it is recommended that you not combine deprecated business catalogs and their successors in a business role. You must also ensure that business roles assigned to a user do not contain deprecated business catalogs that combine the Project restriction type and any of the following restriction types:

• Authorization Group for Engagement Project (CPD_MP_OR_SUBACTVT)
• Service Organization (CPD_MP_OR)

Following is a list of deprecated business catalogs that should not be combined with their successors in a single business role or a business user:

• Project Management - Customer Projects (SAP_PSP_BC_CUST_PROJ_MNG_PC)
• Project Management - Internal Projects (SAP_PSP_BC_INT_PROJ_MNG_PC)
