3002637 - How to Mass Add New Material Description in Other Languages

You have a requirement to enhance material description in other languages.

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Data work center.
2. Select Materials view.
3. Select the respective material and click Edit.
4. Select View All and Navigate to Other Languages sub tab under General tab.

You request to know how to add new Material Description in other Languages for multiple materials.

You can mass add material description in other languages using Mass Data Maintenance and Material Migration Tool with Migration Mode Enhance already existing records.

1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
2. Select Mass Data Maintenance view.
3. Click Export Materials link.
4. Navigate to Other Languages tab and select Export Data to CSV File.
5. Update the Other Language Description in the CSV File.
6. Select Import Materials link in Mass Data Maintenance.
7. Choose file and select Import Data to tab Other Languages.
8. Click Upload.

Or

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Select Overview view.
3. Search for Migration of Materials activity.
4. Select Migration materials using the migration tool.
5. Upload the migration file with new language descirptions.
6. Select Properties and select Enhance already existing records in Migration Mode.
7. Select Execute Migration Step by Step.
