2926654 - Some of Time Recordings are Incomplete Instead of Complete Status - Part 2

For some employees status is Incomplete in Time sheets view > Open Time sheet, even though the times are recorded correctly and displayed correctly.

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Click on Time Sheet view
3. Search for the relevant employee
4. Click on Open Time Sheet
5. Click on Review and Correct

If the times recorded are equal or exceed the target hours as per the work schedule, then the status Incomplete is shown. The reason is that the work schedule has core time set from HH:MM to HH:MM and the times recorded for the days with the status Incomplete are duration based.

With the core time type, you define a time frame during which employees have to be present at work. In the event of core time violations, the time administrator receives a warning message in the Messages sub view, which they can confirm. No warning message is sent if an absence has been recorded for this time.

For duration-based time recordings, the violation is triggered as there is no start and end time to derive presence of the employee. Therefore the status Incomplete is shown.

If duration-based time recordings are used, then system cannot tell if the core time is adhered to. Therefore, a core time violation message is created for the administrator.

When employees are using a mix of duration as well as start and end time recordings, we suggest that you remove the core time and flex time time types from the time model. This will prevent core time violation errors being created and ensure that the status on the time sheet will show as Complete if the target hours are met. Any changes to a time model which is assigned to employees will also require a correction run to be completed for the employees.
