2925259 - Process Communication Error in Inter-company Sales Order

Symptom

Solve Document Inconsistency in Sales Order to Process Purchase Order Processing sent by Purchase Order.

Error: Update of sales order not possible; change is not allowed: No project task is assigned to the item.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Orders work center -> Sales Orders view. 
  2. Edit the Sales Order XYZ. (XYZ represents the sales order ID)
  3. Click on View All and navigate to Document Flow. 
  4. Open the Process Communication Error. 

Cause

Process Communication Error occurred because in product master data the Item group changed to PBFP - Service - fixed price (project).

PBFP - Service - fixed price (project) is not a supported item type for inter-company scenario.

Resolution

  1. Go to Product and Service Portfolio work center -> Services view.
  2. Select the Product ABC. (ABC represents the product ID which is in the sales order XYZ)
  3. Click on Edit and then View All.
  4. Navigate to Sales tab. 
  5. Change the Item Group.
  6. Click on Save.
