2924609 - How to Cancel Production Order which is in Released Status

You have released a Production Order, but have not confirmed any of its associated Tasks meaning they still have the status "Not Started", and so you want to know how to delete or cancel the Order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Navigate to Production Order view.
3. Select the relevant Production Order with the Status "Released".
4. Select Cancel.

From 2005 Release Upgrade onwards, the "Cancel" Button will be enabled for Production Orders which are in "Released" Status, and if all of the associated Tasks are in Status "Not started".

Note: The "Cancel" button is not enabled for Production Orders which are in Status "Started","In Preparation" and "Finished".

Once you cancel a Production Order, the respective Tasks are finished, and the corresponding Production Lot is closed. The Production Request is open again for the creation of a new Production Order.
