This KBA outlines the process of deleting awards within Rewards & Recognition as well as managing programs. For the steps mentioned below you will require admin permissions.

Managing programs

Deletion

There are some requirements for existing programs to be deleted. If this is a requirement, we would ask for these to be made "Inactive" rather than having them deleted in any other way. This would be best practice.

The reason for this is to avoid any unexpected error's while using points within redemption options as well as other data inconsistencies. Should any program require deletion, we would ask to purge all existing awards from this program and review the awards posted into employee central.

Renaming programs

Once you have a program created the name of this cannot be edited currently.

Editing Categories/Levels

These can be managed and edited from within the Rewards & Recognition admin page. If you have a requirement to delete existing categories/levels while awards are approved or in-progress, then this is currently not possible and not best practice as this can cause unexpected error's and data inconsistencies.

Under no circumstances should any spotAward spotAwardProgram data be manually edited or deleted via Manage Data.

Deletion of Awards

1. Navigate to Admin Center> Compensation> Rewards & Recognition.
2. From the admin page new tile "Manage Awards" has been added.
   
   
3. Selecting this tile will direct you to a page with options to import a file.
4. The only requirement for awards to be deleted is the award ID.
   

This option is available for "Thank You", "Point-based" and "Currency" programs.

When deleting any award the following will be observed within the Award History tile.

• Nominators WILL see the deleted awards with status as DELETED​

• Nominees should will NOT see the award after award deletion​

• Nominee's manager WILL see the Deleted awards with status as DELETED​

For example, the following is an award which has been deleted which is being viewed by the nominator.

When viewing all awards from the Sent section of the tile, you will also see the status of deleted awards as deleted.

Award Information

Award data can be obtained in two following places. Here you can confirm the award types as well as ID's which you are wanting to delete.
