2885113 - How to find association fields in a lookup rule for Position Management

Symptom

You are creating a rule to map a picklist field from EC to RCM in Position Management. However, the field on the position is an association field, and cannot be found when using the lookup function.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Set up a picklist field on a position which is an association object, such as the Job Classification Country/Region object which is an association to the Job Classification object:

  2. Implement the configuration for mapping picklists as shown in KBA 2361220 - "How to map Picklist fields in EC Position Management to RCM Integration with oData API?"
  3. When searching for the association field in the lookup function, notice that it cannot be found:

  4. Notice that the field can be found when you are not using the lookup function:

Resolution

To find the association field when using the lookup function, use the format function as shown below and you will be able to find the field:
