2788104 - Quantity Unit Error When Uploading Customer Invoice

Symptom

You are trying to upload a Customer Invoice using File Input or Web Service, however, you are facing errors such as: Quantity unit does not exist or Combination of product and quantity unit does not exist.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customer Invoicing work center.
  2. Select the Invoice Requests view.
  3. Select the line of the External Invoice Request.
  4. Document shows as Inconsistent.
  5. Click on the Check button.
  6. Errors:
    Quantity unit does not exist.
Combination of product and quantity unit does not exist.

Cause

When creating the payload request or the file input document, please check that the correct Quantity (Unit) and Quantity Type Code are being passed.
For example: You are creating an Invoice for Service ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Service) and to perform the service, it took 2 (two) hours.

In this case, according to the accepted UoM (Unit of Measurement) codes by the system, Quantity (Unit) will be HUR for hours and Quantity Type Code needs to be TIME for time.

Please see below the types codes accepted by the system:
