2745040 - Data Workbench Restrictions not Matching User Access Rights

According to the Access Rights and Access Restrictions of your Business User, you don't have write or read permission for a specific view in the system. Your therefore expect that you are not able to find the related object in the Data Workbench work center. However, the object is available for the selection of not permitted actions.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Data Workbench work center.
2. Select for example Import view.
3. Select for example Update operation.
4. Choose Standard Object.
5. An object is available for selection, although you are not allowed to process it.

The availability and changeability of objects in the Data Workbench depend on the following settings:

1. If a work center view is not assigned to a user, the related object will not appear at all.
2. If the work center view is assigned, then the following is valid:
   Insert will show only objects which have “sap:creatable=true” in the odata service.
   Update will show only objects which have “sap:updatable=true” in the odata service.
   Upsert will show objects which have “sap:creatable=true” & “sap:updatable=true” in the odata service.
   Export will show all entities except attachments & used address.
3. In case a work center is assigned to a user with read/write restrictions, an error appears when trying to complete a not permitted operation.
