2730064 - Not Able to Pass Extension Field from Sales Order Header to Purchase Request in a Third Party Scenario

You want to be able to extend an Extension Field from Sales Order header to Purchase Order Request in a Third Party Scenario, however, the relevant option is not available in the Extension Scenarios.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
2. Open the Sales Orders view.
3. Open any Sales Order.
4. Click your Profile Picture in the top-right side of the screen.
5. Hover the mouse over Key User Settings.
6. Click Start Adaptation Mode.
7. Click the Plus sign (+) In the bottom left of the screen.
8. Select Extension Fields.
9. Select the extension field that you want to extend to the Purchase Order Request in the Third Party scenario.
10. Click Show Further Usage.
11. Go to the tab Extension Scenarios.

You will see that it is not possible to extend this field to the Purchase Order Request.

It is currently not possible to pass an extension field from Sales Order Header to Purchase Request in a third party scenario. Currently this is the expected system behavior.

As a workaround, it's possible to pass extension fields that are in the item level of a Sales Order to the item level in a Purchase Request Third Party Scenario.

To do so, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
2. Open the Sales Orders view.
3. Open any Sales Order.
4. Click the View All button.
5. Navigate to the Items tab.
6. Click your Profile Picture in the top-right side of the screen.
7. Hover the mouse over Key User Settings.
8. Click Start Adaptation Mode.
9. Click the Plus sign (+) In the bottom left of the screen.
10. Select Extension Fields.
11. Select the extension field that you want to extend to the Purchase Order Request in the Third Party scenario.
12. Click Show Further Usage.
13. Go to the tab Extension Scenarios.

Here, activate the following extension scenario:

• Sales Order - Item to Purchase Request - Item.

If you want to extend this to the Supplier Invoice item, activate the following extension scenarios in addition to the previous one:

• Purchase Request - Item to Purchase Order - Item.
• Purchase Order - Item to Supplier Invoice - Item.

And in order to extend to the Customer Invoice, activate the following extension scenarios:

• Purchase Order - Item to Purchase Order Logistics Details - Line Item.
• Inbound Delivery Notification - Line Item to Inbound Delivery - Line Item.
• Inbound Delivery - Line Item to Outbound Delivery - Line Item.
• Outbound Delivery - Item to Invoice Requests - Item.
