2665801 - Mexico Grouping Code is not Enabled in the Chart of Accounts

Symptom

You are trying to add the Mexico Grouping Code column via Personalize menu, however the field is grayed out/disabled.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesing.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Open the activity list.
  4. Open activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
  5. Click Edit Chart of accounts.
  6. Start Personalization mode.

For the Details section, the Mexico Grouping Code cannot be enabled.

Cause

The chart of accounts is not yet assigned to a set of books with Mexican accounting principles.

Resolution

In order for the Mexico Grouping Code to be enabled in the Personalize menu, you need to map the char of account to a set of books. This can be done as follows:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Open the activity list.
  4. Open Set of Books activity.
  5. Make sure that you have one set of books with accounting principle as Mexican GAAP.
