2644612 - Updating Instruction text in templates through Manage Templates Feature

Symptom

How to update instruction text in any XML Template via Manage Templates Feature?

NOTE: It is very important to keep in mind this tool is extremely powerful. Modifications made to templates can have a direct impact on candidate experience, integrations, custom integrations, etc. Change should only be made by a qualified individual that is familiar with the configuration.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

Instruction text can be added in different templates. It is now possible to make these changes via Admin Centre --> Manage Templates.

In order to enable Manage templates, please follow up this KBA: 2157630 - Enabling Manage Templates in Recruiting

Please see the steps below:

1. Select any template available for example a job requisition template

2. General Settings --> Field Defined. Click to Modify

3. It is possible to modify or add instruction field types

Please note, the Manage Template tool currently does not support HTML code. If you try to add HTML to an instruction text using Manage Templates it will treat it like normal text instead of HTML. If you would like to add HTML to an instruction text please contact your implementation partner and ask them to update it through provisioning.

An internal enhancement has been raise to support HTML in Manage Templates in the future. If you would like to follow this enhancement please contact your CSM and give them this internal ticket number RCM-65143.
