2638515 - Send Function in Report Available After Hiding it in Configure Actions

You would like to disable the Send function in reports for end users. You have done the required scoping to enable such restrictions and you have hidden Send via the Configure Actions functionality. However, end users still see this button, with an option to send the report as an e-mail link.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center, view Common Tasks.
2. Click on Configure Actions.
3. Mark the Send feature and click on Hide.
4. Save this change.
5. Now open any report from the Analysis work center, view Reports.
6. In the top right corner, click on Show More.

Send is still available and the user has the option to send the report As E-Mail Link (Web Browser).

Hiding the Send feature has the purpose to restrict sending report data to anyone who is either not authorized to access the system or to access the report. If you send a report via the option As E-Mail Link (Web Browser), the recipient will still have to log on to the system and an access rights check will take place. Hence no unauthorized access to report data will be granted.

For this reason, As E-Mail Link (Web Browser) is available even if you hide the Send feature.

Hiding the feature Send will hide the following options only:

• Send As E-Mail Attachment (XLSX)
• Send As E-Mail (XML)
• Send As E-Mail Link (Microsoft Excel in XML Format)
