2629779 - Price Manually Maintained on Opportunity Not Derived to Following Sales Quote or Sales Order

• You create an Opportunity, the item has a price maintained manually.
• You notice that the item on the following Sales Quotes or Sales Orders does not have any of the price maintained.
• Error message 'Item ABC: Mandatory List Price missing for the price calculation' is triggered on the Sales Quote (ABC is the item ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go the New Business work center.
2. Go to the Common Tasks view.
3. Create a New Opportunity.
4. Fill in the relevant Master Data.
5. For the item, maintain the price manually.
6. Save the Opportunity.
7. Click the Follow-up button, select Sales Quote.

In the new document, all the previous Master data is derived automatically except for price data.
The error message 'Item ABC: Mandatory List Price missing for the price calculation' is displayed.

This is the expected behavior and the system is working as designed.

There is no Price List maintained for Item ABC so the system cannot determine the price on the Sales Quote.

SAP Business ByDesign uses price master data such as Price Lists to determine the price on a Sales Quote even if the price is manually maintained on the previous Opportunity.

You have two possibilities:

• Maintain a Price List for item ABC in the Product and Service Portfolio work center, Pricing view.
• Manually maintain the expected price on the Sales Quote

Note that this behavior is also applied for Sales Orders.
