2625494 - Error Message:Catalog Upload not Possible; File Format not Supported

Getting error while importing catalog file

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Product Portfolio work center
2. Choose Catalogs view
3. Click on Open catalog template file
4. Enter all necessary details
5. Click on Autofill ID
6. Click on Generate
7. Click on Save and Save it on your Desktop
8. Again go to Product portfolio work center
9. Choose Catalogs view
10. Click on button New
11. Choose Supplier Catalog
12. Enter catalog name and Supplier ID
13. Click on Browse and Choose same file that you saved earlier

Format of the values for fields is not correct cause you might have copy pated the details which was in different format.

If you are using a MAC machine when generating this text file you may get a non-unicode version of the file, the system checks whether text file is a non-unicode text file during import phase and if yes, then this is one of the reasons for Error.

If you use an offline version of template then also you are likely to  get this error.

Always type in the details in the template at least for the first row, later seeing the each cell format you can accordingly fill up the other rows accordingly
