2618811 - Manage Business Configuration: Unable to view any Configuration Objects - Object does not have children - BCUI is empty

When navigating to Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration, no objects are displayed.

Unable to maintain any configurations in Manage Business Configuration.

Manage Business Configuration is empty.

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Business Configuration
2. Unable to see any edit templates for any section in the UI

Either:

1) No permission has been granted in Manage Permission Roles > Administrative Permissions > Manage Business Configuration to your logged in user

2) The Permission Role granting these permissions did not refresh correctly after deploying an MDF based feature to the instance. You can validate this by going to Manage Permission Roles > Administrative Permissions > Manage Business Configuration and you will not see any objects in the list. This can sometimes happen when deploying MDF base features from the Upgrade Center. This is however, extremely rare.

3) The Synchronize Business Configuration job has not been set up and ran once in provisioning.

Either:

1) Grant the necessary permissions in Manage Permission Roles > Administrative Permissions > Manage Business Configuration

2) If the Permissions are already granted, but you get the blank list of objects in Manage Permission Roles > Administrative Permissions > Manage Business Configuration, then navigate to Manage Permission Roles and edit a different Permission Role (one that is not related to your logged in user), add a description to the Permission Role (or just edit it) and save the change - this will refresh the Role-Based Permissions (note the refresh button in Provisioning does not solve this issue). Then go to the role in question again and you will see the objects listed once again under Manage Permission Roles > Administrative Permissions > Manage Business Configuration. You may need to re-grant these permissions again.
