2613693 - How to convert certificates to Base64 (.cer) format

Symptom

Customer needs to update SAML Verifying Certificate in SSO settings however Customer has sent the certificate not in Base64 format.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Certificate using Notepad
  2. Certificate shows a bunch of special characters

Resolution

Convert customer's certificate to Base64 with steps below:

  1. Open Certificate
  2. Click on 'Details' Tab
  3. Click on 'Copy to File...'
     copy to file.JPG

  4. Click Next

  5. Select Base-64 encoded X.509

  6. Click Next
  7. Type in File Name

  8. Click Next
  9. Click on Finish

  10. Right click on 'File Name' and click Edit with Notepad
