2598705 - Project Task not Available in Add Time Entry - Work Package Task Field

You are recording Time Entries for a Project Task. Although you are assigned to the Project Task, it doesn’t show up in the Work Package Task list in the Add Time Entry screen.

1. Go to the Home work center.
2. Select the Self-Services Overview.
3. Click on Edit Time Sheet.
4. Select the desired date.
5. Click Add Time Entry.
6. In the Current Work Packages pane, you can see the Project Task ABC (ABC represents the relevant Project Task).
7. Click on value selection for the field Work Package Task.
8. The Project Task ABC is not listed.
9. Close value selection and enter Project Task ABC directly into the Work Package Task field.
10. No records found.

The duration of the relevant Project has been changed in the Project Management work center and the date you selected for the Time Entry is outside of the original duration of the Project. The Add Time Entry Work List has not yet synchronised the Project’s duration change and therefore the Project Task is not visible in the list.

The Current Work Package pane on the pop up Add Time Entry screen, shows all Project Tasks that you are assigned to, regardless of the duration of the Project or if the selected date is outside of the original duration of the Project. Therefore, Project Task ABC shows up in this pane.

Please save the Edit Time Sheet screen once before you try to add the Time Entry. The Time Sheet will then synchronise the changes made to the duration of any Project that you are assigned to, and Project Task ABC will be available in the Work Package Task field.

2. Select the Self-Services Overview.
3. Click on Edit Time Sheet.
4. Click Save.
