2586600 - Error message: "Inventory in logistics area not available"

Error message: "Inventory in logistics area not available" is triggered even source logistics area is flagged as negative stock allowed.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Internal Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Task Control view.
3. Show all and search for the task XXX (XXX stands for the exact task ID).
4. Click Confirm.
5. Enter the Actual quantity.
6. Enter the Source Logistics Area as ABC (ABC represents the exact source logistics area ID).
7. Press Enter on the keyboard.
8. Error message:  Inventory in logistics area not available

The issue may happen during goods issuing as well. It is because the allocation type and allocation scope is maintained for logistics area ABC. The allocation type and allocation scope should not be defined when negative stock indicator is enabled for the logistics area.

1. Go to the Supply Chain Design Master Data.
2. Go to the Location View.
3. Click the Edit Layout button.
4. Find Logistics Area ABC.
5. Leave the allocation type and allocation scope blank.
6. Click save and close.
