2573591 - Time Management Recalculation Event Is Not Recalculating Holidays

Symptom

Time Management Recalculation Event is not recalculating new holidays added to holiday calendar.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Using the KBA 2328948 - Time Off: How to Recalculate leave balances when Holiday Calendar is updated, you've recalculated absence for the new holidays added to the holiday calendar.
  2. After the steps are followed, the holidays are still not recalculated.

Cause

Cause 1

Time Management Configuration is not configured in the instance.

Cause 2

There are existing 'Time Management Recalculation Event' in the system which is in 'To Be Processed' or 'Completed with Error status'

Resolution

Resolution 1

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools -> Manage data
  2. Select 'Time Management Configuration'
  3. If it is not configured, then Create New 'Time Management Configuration'. For more details refer handbook Implementing Time Management In SuccessFactors.

Resolution 2

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools -> Import and export Data
  2. Select Export Data -> Select the Generic Object "Time Management Recalculation Event" -> Set 'Include Dependencies' as 'No' -> Export.
  3. Navigate to Monitor Job -> Download the file
  4. In the downloaded file, filter by status 'TO_BE_PROCESSED' and 'COMPLETED_WITH_ERRORS'.
  5. If there are any records, navigate to Manage Data -> Time Management Recalculation Event, then either:
    • These records needs to be recalculated i.e Edit -> Change the retry counter to 0,1 or 2 ->set 'status' to 'To be processed' -> set 'Start Recalculation on Save' to 'Yes' ->Save. Result of the run can be seen in Manage Data -> Time Management Task (Or if there are any errors it can be seen in Admin Tools -> Admin Alerts or in the 'Time Alert' tab of Administer Time page of employee(s).
      • NOTE: If there are many TMRE records that needs processing, then these can be imported from Import and Export data as well. OR
    • These Time Management Recalculation Event records needs to be deleted if they are no longer relevant.

NOTE: In Admin Tools -> Time Management Configuration -> for field 'Earliest Possible Recalculation Date', it is recommended to have recent years date and not a very old date like 01/01/1900. For more details refer handbook Implementing Time Management In SuccessFactors
