Resolution
There are three Nomination Methods that you can configure for Succession Planning: Role-Person, (Legacy) Positions and MDF Positions.
See below instructions on how to identify which one is configured for your instance by looking at a few things in the Succession Org Chart:
- If you go to the Succession Org Chart and see the option to search by Position and by People (user), this means that you have MDF Positions nomination method configured, because this is the only method that allows you to search by the Position (title and code).
- If you don't have the option to search by Position, you either have Legacy Positions or Role-Person. To find out which one it is, you can click on one of the Org Chart nodes (to open the Position Card) and then take a look at the options available on the Position Card menu.
- If you see the option "Hide Position" and/or "Delete Position", this means that you have Legacy Positions nomination method.
- If you see the option "Hide Profile", this means that you have Role-Person nomination method.
