2544732 - External request - total hours report

Symptom

The external request has its total hours field (B.5. field)/actual course hours (V.4. field) filled out, however when any report related to user learning history is generated (e.g.: Learning History report), it does not populate the total hours column.

Reproducing the Issue

External request created, completed and verified >
An entry is added in the user's "Completed Items" section >
The report is generated and the total hours column is not populated.

Cause

It is working as expected. There is currently no system standard report, in the Learning admin or user side, that brings the total hours of an external training request.

Resolution

The table that stores the total hours of an external training request is the following: PA_EXT_LEARNING_RQST.

It does not have an individual column for many values, but the content of the cell called "FORM_DATA" is in BLOB data type. It contains the values or information entered in the request form as raw data (such as vendorType, courseHoursDuringDuty, etc.) With it, it is possible to try to customize a report to bring such info from this table. Please review the KBA 2379690 for more information related to the Learning custom reports.

Also, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request (KBA 2090228) created for it, where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release
