FAQ

Q) Should I enable these options? Is it normal to enable these sync options?
A) Typically the Compensation and Variable Pay processes (the Basic User Data part) is managed outside of Employee Central. Therefore you may not want to trigger an update to Compensation/Variable Pay forms using the HRIS Sync job, but, it can take a lot of extra work off of Admins when changes made in EC should be reflected in Compensation. Normally when a Compensation process is started, you would not want to update the forms unless certain data must be corrected, therefore it is advisable that this option only be enabled for "Run Once" jobs and not set to run on the "Daily" schedule

Q) Should I enable these options when performing a Full HRIS Sync?
A) Do bear in mind that a Full HRIS Sync will synchronize all the "currently effective" data (as of Today() ) from EC to EP - if you do not want to update active Compensation forms, then please do not enable this option during Full HRIS Sync unless updating the forms is your intention.
