Symptom
In the job requisition template, labels for fields such as ‘recruiterName’, ‘hiringManagerName’ and ‘jobLevel’ have been renamed and the changes have been translated into multiple languages. But when you upload the template or when you edit via Manage Template, the label changes are not reflected in the UI.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- In the Job Requisition XML template, change the 'jobLevel' field label value to 'Position' in English and 'Posizione' in Italian (see example below) or perform the same via Manage Templates
- Log into the instance - Recruiting tab - click a job requisition: see that the job level field says 'Job Level', not 'Position'.
Cause
The labels have been set in Provisioning (Job Requisition System Field Labels) and Admin Center (Manage Job Requisition System Field Labels) with specific translations will take priority over the label changes made in the XML template.
Resolution
In order to update a label follow the below steps:
-
Navigate to Admin Center.
-
Enter Manage Job Requisition System Field Labels in the Tool Search.
-
Select a language to edit the field labels.
-
Update the labels and click Save.
-
Click Cancel to revert your changes.
Make sure to grant the RBP permission Manage Recruiting > Manage Job Requisition System Field Labels.
NOTE: It's only possible to define one label per standard field. It's not supported to have different labels across different templates. Field labels are mandatory too so it's not possible to keep them blank.
