2490905 - Save Query Button is Not Visible in the UI of a Custom Screen

Symptom

You have added a "Save Query" or "Organize Queries" button in the OWL Advanced List Pane, but these buttons are not visible in the UI.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to frontend UI.
  2. Navigate to the screen.
  3. Click on Advanced Search icon.
  4. You will see that the query buttons are missing.

Cause

To make the "Save Query" button work, a stable anchor for the Default Set in the DefaultSet Mapping of the Advanced List Pane has to be added, as well as an anchor for the query on Controller tab.

Resolution

The steps you need to perform to add the anchor for the custom screen are:

  1. Open UI Designer.
  2. Navigate to the respective screen.
  3. Select the Advanced List Pane - Object WorkList.
  4. Configure the DefaultSetMapping.
  5. Add an Anchor.

  1. After the anchor is created for the default set, you have to add a stable anchor to the query in the Controller tab.

  1. Save and Activate the OWL.

NOTE: If you have more than one Query or DefaultSet, an anchor should be defined for all of them.
