2423217 - Unable to Upload a Price List using Excel due to the Error: "The remote Server Returned an error: (500) internal Server Error".

You are not able to upload a price list using excel due to the error: "The remote Server Returned an error: (500) internal Server Error".

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Open your Excel Template with the saved data of the price list.
2. Log on to the system using the respective credentials.
3. Click on the Save Data To button.

The following error occurs: The remote Server Returned an error: (500) internal Server Error.

A value maintained in the excel template is incorrect or not valid.

Example:

• The value for the amount in the line items is maintained as “#N/A”, which is an invalid value for the field Amount.
• Also, the template does not accept the symbol "$".
• You maitained the Desciption for a value of a drop down field instead of the code list value. For example: for the Unit of Measure you maintained the  Unit Symbol or Unit Description in the template instead of the Unit defined in the fine tuning activity Quantities and Units of Measure.
• The value maintained in a field is longer than the maximum permitted length 

You need to ensure that you enter a valid value in all fields in the Excel Template and that they do not exceed the maximum permitted length of the field. E.g. an Amount has to be a valid number such as 0,00. For some fields such as Product ID or Product Type you can use the Look Up function in the Excel Template to find the valid values for this field. And also, if no symbol, such as "$" is in the template.
For code list values such as the Unit of Measure or Distribution Channel, you can avoid this error by using the Lookup function in your excel template.

Once you corrected the values you will be able to upload the price list accordingly.
